Hello,

well you firstly need to count all actions (which are marked as apm+) and save them in a list.
Then you count how many actions occured within one minute and put them on a chart. You repeat that for the hole game and that's it.
Maybe the other can explain it more detailed, but my english is limited, sorry.

Hape

wulfskin, that would mean that for a single minute there would be only one point on the chart. I've downloaded your Replay Explorer and set the option to 30 seconds. This should give me 2 points per minute but it gives more. Why? The replay is 11 minutes long.

Sorry, I don't visit this forum very often. Maybe my explanation was a bit unclear. I meant that you have to count how many actions occured within a very short period of time (for example 10 seconds) and repeat that for the hole game. So for example you check following with intervall 10 seconds:
1.00 - 1.10: 10 actions, so apm 60
1.05 - 1.15: 12 actions, so apm 72
1.10 - 1.20: 12 actions, so apm 72
1.15 - 1.25: 6 actions, so apm 36

And so on. So you get many points you can add into a chart an get a nice apm chart. I hope it is clear now.

Hape

Thanks, I'll experiment with APM charts in the next month.

The smooth chart algorithm:
calculate the APM of last x seconds(x = 5, 10, 15, ....)
for example, we need a smooth APM chart of last 1 min, we will write codes like this:
Sum actions of 1st min up as variable "count".
this is APM at 1min.
Remove actions in 1st 5sec, add actions between 1min and 1min5sec, you'll get APM at 1min5sec.

Are you talking about the SMA algorithm?

It'se the one which Sivi from ESL recommended to me.
