First time I have seen that in more than hundred replays checked.

Could it be that warcraft III throws an error and ignore all the  actions contained in a 0x1F block (I assume this was not a 0x1E block ) ?
Could this be due to some kind of data corruption on this player side? I've seen altered replays but never in this way.

Maybe it doesn't ignore the whole 0x1F block (yes, those are 0x1F), but probably one CommandData block in the 0x1F block. At least that's what I will do from now on when encountering an unknown action.

I don't know what it is but I'm almost sure it was done on purpose - watch the replay, even though the guy did nothing for the first 50 seconds, he generated those abnormal actions.

You could probably ignore the whole block.
Someone I know with an huge database of replays confirmed me he never saw something like that...
So it's probably not reproductible or very specific.

PS: Could it be some server side hack or problem that truncates incoming packet from a player?
Meaning the player is immobilized and can't enter orders?

The way you describe this (Selects/Deselects at the beginning of a match) definitely sounds like Maphack... as if he was selecting/deselecting the opponent's buildings/units when he should not have been able to view them.

I actually kinda doubt it is maphack.
I have never seen it before.
And I parsed a dam-n  given number of (dota) replays, with probably at least 1 maphacker each 10 replays...

so...

I can only think of two possibilities:
* A rare bug affecting one of the guy in the game, either the host or either the player who got this actions truncated.
* An edited replay, in some way..., in which goal I don't know.

I'll think for the first hypothesis.
