Thanks to all of the people here for sharing your code and info on the replay format.  I'm really amazed people could find the meaning of every byte in the file with no prior knowledge, I doubt I could have.

I used the documentation for coming up with a replay reading program for a project in my computer science course on machine learning.  The purpose of the project was to provide a new machine learning method for AI decision making in RTS games, where strategy is learned from "watching" high-skilled players.  To test my idea and provide an example, I applied the method to unit production choices in TFT, so I needed to make a program to read TFT replays and output data about unit choice strategy.  Because of the work and sharing of the people here, I was able to do that and complete my project, so I'm very appreciative.
