Place all the extracted files in the same folder and customise the option.

Are you using MPQ Control or MPQ2K version. If its MPQ Control, just forget it, delete it, and get MPQ2K version. Get MPQ2K from this site and get the newest version of SCM Toolkit, and it should work.

You need to place the file staredit/scenario.chk into the scm toolkit directory. This file contains all of your map's information and scm toolkit requires it to edit. To get it, simply run "Find" under the start menu and type in "staredit/scenario.chk" If it doesn't find it, there's other ways to get it. First, try downloading GUEdit from somewhere (run a search engine like lycos). The .zip file for GUEdit contains staredit/scenario.chk. Simply copy and paste it into your SCM Toolkit directory.

You don't need your staredit/scenario.chk in there! Its called SCM Toolkit because you directly open the .scm (or scx) files from it.
