MiniMoose2707@aol.com What ICQ? | "Re(1):Need Help" , Sun 18 Nov 06:24:
Q)What is the listfile for? do i neeed it? A) The listfile is a list of all the files in your MPQ. WinMPQ probably adds an entry there every time your add a file to your MPQ. If it is deleted, then WinMPQ won't recognize any the files and therefore they won't show up.
Q)What is the chk file for? Why does it say It's not found when it is in the same directory as Storm.dll, SCedit, and MPQ2k (isn't in the SC folder) A) A .chk file is actually an uncompressed map. If you open any map (.scm or .scx) in an MPQ viewer, then you'll find a .chk file in there. In fact, if you change a .chk file to .scm/.scx, then it works like a normal map. All of the original missions are stored on the CD in .chk format.
Q)Why does the Scmtoolkit closes when i put a scenario.chk file in the same directory? A) I don't know......
Q)Do i need a file called MPQrun.bat? I ask this because the MPQ2k asks for it. A) Why are you using MPQ2K? IF it works, just use WinMPQ!
